ORGANISATION

This event is part of the East Wight Combined Clubs’ Series. The Organising Authority will be BSC with race management assistance provided by SVYC and BHYC.

ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY

Helms must be members of an affiliated RYA Club. The Entry Requirements on page 2 of the Regatta programme and the Disclaimer of Liability in EWCC SI 21 on page 18 apply. There is no Entry Fee.

REGISTRATION & BRIEFING

In addition to complying with the entry requirements, entrants in centreboard dinghies (incl. multihulls) must sign the Sign-On Sheet for their class at BSC, BHYC or SVYC at least 30 minutes before the scheduled race start time. Failure to do so will result in the boat not being recognised as racing. PYs for entrants in Dinghy Class Races 1 & 3 and sail sizes for Race 2 MUST be entered on the appropriate Sign-On Sheet. There will not be a briefing.

RULES & SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Races shall be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2009 – 2012, RYA Prescriptions, Class Rules, this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions.  Races will be sailed under the East Wight Sailing Instructions, as varied by this Notice of Race. They can be downloaded from here.  Class flags are as shown below.   Races will be started in accordance with RRS 26; however, for the Solent Classes there will be a 5 minute gap between the start of each Class and the warning for the next one - this modifies RRS 26.
